Whisk @ Empire

So what is the best way to spend your Saturday?

Enjoying coffee like the Americans do with a plate of French macaroons.... seating by the sidewalk cafe for hours, just the two if us, sipping our drinks slowly, looking at passersby, exchanging no words whatsoever.... yeah..... when silence between two people is comfortable... priceless.

Ops... sorry.  I got carried away :)

Actually, I wanted to tell you about Whisk Cafe @ Empire Gallery.

I love Whisk for its wonderful macaroons (of course, nothing beats the real French Macaroons) and its hot Hazelnut Latte (less sugar please).  The combination is sinfully marvelous.  They said its Red Velvet cake is nice too, but I haven't tried it yet (maybe because I baked it all the time, so it reduces my desire to try it elsewhere).  But their macs, yeap... so far that's the best macs in Klang Valley (plus I am no expert in making macs! huhuhuhu)

So peeps, drop by Empire and head on to Whisk.... you'll come back for more!

Hilang

The Day I Decided To Write Again

I've closed this door some years ago... and I thought I'd be closing it for good.  Even my last visit here was years ago.  Today I decided to open it up again.... and maybe I should start writing again.  So many things happened in the last few years, good and bad, happy and sad... now, I guess, is just the time to share some and to keep them here as memories. Welcome back to my space.

It was Nik's Birthday

It was my husband’s birthday yesterday and we took the day off to ‘merewang’ while feeling young, kononnya. The theme of the celebration? Reminiscing the days when we were courting back in 1993 minus the snow.... ancient sungguh rasanya! We had our breakfast at O’Brien’s early in the morning and took a slow stroll along the shops in OU and enjoyed every minute of it (at 10am in the morning, mind you, and the shops were barely opened). Later we watched ‘Lake House’ and we were charged RM12 only for 2 tickets (the early bird tickets were so damn cheap, I almost fainted!). There were only a few couples inside and we took the opportunity to sit right at the middle (ikut suka hati), since the theater was quite empty. How was the movie? Hmm… ok la, I would say it was the right movie for the occasion… hehe. A bit slow though, biasa la, romantic piece. The ending part was quite ‘touchy’ and yes, Mr Reeves was so stunningly handsome (oh yes, nampak tua sikit la and still got the looks). ...
