Gym in the Pocket

I finally bought it.   So let's work on that fat and start burning, y'all!

Tiramisu

Well... I am actually on leave today, and that explains the multiple entries.... hehehhe As always, whenever I am on leave, I crave for something unusual... and today, I am feeling Italian .... I am feeling Tiramisu (literally it means 'pick-me-up'). So off I went to my lil' office (read = kitchen) and start mixing .... So, here goes... 250gm mascarpone cheese (be warned, mascarpone cheese will cost you about RM20 per tub!) 300 ml cream 2 eggs 75gm sugar 2 sachet instant coffee / cappucino / espresso (any coffee drinks will do) - mix with 2 cups of hot water shaved chocolate or cocoa powder for topping 1 packet of savoiardi biscuits To make the cream: Beat eggs and sugar till thick (and the color becomes lighter). Beat in mascarpone cheese till combined. Fold in cream till all come together. Slightly dip the biscuits in coffee mixture - biscuits absorb water REALLY fast, so make sure the 'dipping' is really short Arrange one layer of biscuits,

Jiwang Karat

This song was featured so many years ago... maybe 4/5 years back.... can't even remember, but somehow, the more I listen to it, I like it even more than before.... Especially for my readers... enjoy them, like I always do. "Here Without You" A hundred days have made me older Since the last time that I saw your pretty face A thousand lies have made me colder And I don't think I can look at this the same But all the miles that separate Disappear now when I'm dreaming of your face I'm here without you baby But you're still on my lonely mind I think about you baby And I dream about you all the time I'm here without you baby But you're still with me in my dreams And tonight it's only you and me The miles just keep rollin' As the people leave the

Happy Mother's Day

It was Mother's Day yesterday.... and I had a wonderful celebration. How was yours? Let's Play Ball

For the sake of my team, I'm playing anyway... because we don't have enough players. If I am not thinking of my team members, I would have abandoned this tournament.... sigh!  Lucky Y.O.U that I still have some sense in me, otherwise, I will tell you to go fly kite!!!!! Anyway, the tournament is tomorrow ... so wish us luck!!

Steam Sea-bass & Chicken Soup

Last night was my m.a.l.a.s night. So I decided only to cook simple dishes.... Steam Sea-bass Garlic & shallots (4 each) - sliced Ginger (abt 2 inches) - sliced Lemon grass (1) - pound Kaffir lime leaf (2-3pcs) Chili (4-5) - pound (I used bird's eye chili a.k.a. cili padi) 2-3 lime (limau kasturi) - squeeze the juice out a pinch of sugar and salt, to taste 1 cup of water Put everything in a deep wok and cover.  Let it simmer slowly and once the water starts to boil, add in the fish (I used 3 small seabass). Cover the wok again and let the fish cook in the sauce for about 5-8 minutes, depending on the size of your fish. Serve while hot.  Tastes like steam fish because you don't really use oil, just let everything boils in the wok.  (actually I was really lazy to take out the steamer..... hahahhahah). Then I cooked another dish.... Simple Chicken Soup Pound 2-3 garlic & shallots, and fry with 1 tbsp of olive oil. Add

Y.O.U

I love netball…. In fact, I look forward to this tournament… and to play netball every year… But today, you…. yes YOU!!! You made me feel so sick to the bone that I give up contributing even one single drop of sweat. Coz you and your selfish-self….. you don’t deserve anything from me at all! I would rather go home and spend my precious time with my loved ones…. than spending my evening with you. So YOU, yes YOU!!!!!   Please wake up & look in the mirror…. YOU deserve no one.. nothing!

Healthy Smoothie

I'm feeling feverish & having a very bad headache + flu + sore throat... since yesterday :( Trying to fight these off, I pushed myself to cycle this morning and made 34km on the Shah Alam loop, which means the route is quite hilly here and there. I got so fed-up with my flu, I even tried Bukit Sewel (read = more than 180 degrees hill) and I only managed half way. Nik went up for so many times and I think he tried all the Bukit Sewel there were in Sect 7... pffttt!! Anyway, I still feel lousy today after sweating it off and then I thought why not make these wonderful smoothie, exceptionally rich in vitamins & fiber and definitely refreshing for the aching body. So let's see how I put the ingredients together... Orange & Mango Smoothie You will need: 1 mango (peel off skin & remove seed) + half orange (peel off skin) 1/2 cup vanilla flavored plain yogurt (I used Yoplait) 1/2 - 1 cup low fat milk (depends on how you like it, ticker or just nice) 1 - 2 tbsp vanill
