Today marked our 16th year together. Thru sunshine, thru rain... thick and thin.. you name it... we've been there. It's true what people say, the bigger the number is, the bigger the challanges you face.  I have been to a point where I almost gave up, but He knows best.  I am still here and today I am proud to say that we've travelled this far together.  More reason for us to be there for each other. A small celebration, we had a quiet dinner after work, exchanged gifts and we were back home at 11pm ... well, after being harassed by my daughter with questions.... "where are you going after work?" "what are you having for dinner?... where?" "is it far?" "what time are you coming back" hahaha... well, I'm truly blessed to have this family, thank you Allah! Okay… after so many months of not writing anything here…. I decided to write today.   This is my 1 ST entry after I turned 40 last March.   That means I have not been here for more than 3 months.. Wow..…. Now I have so many things to talk about, so many things to share.. so let’s take it one at a time. Well turning 40 was never one of the things that scare me. I have always liked birthday celebration so in a way, I was actually looking forward to my birthday. I like receiving birthday wishes from friends and family members, that alone gives me a good feeling… a feeling thinking that you still have friends around you, people who care about you and those who are willing to take a few minutes to call you or write you a message just to wish you birthday wishes. Ain’t that wonderful? As we age, what matter most is being you and the fact that you friends accept you for who you are, not for what you are trying to be. Anyway, my colleagues planned a surprise birthday breakfast ...

2011 came and went.... in a split second.  I feel like it was only yesterday that I welcomed 2011 and wished  'Happy New Year'….   and suddenly, it is the time of the year again.  I don’t normally set any specific goals because I feel that they create unnecessary stress J (at least to me), but 2011 saw me realized my own potential when I started participating in running events.   I never thought that I had that much motivation (and energy) in me but hey… I collected 4 medals in 2011.   Well, I missed 2 events because I was sick in Nov and the doctor refused to let me run… huhuhu.   Apart from that, the lil’ company that was set up together with my long time friends,   Sha & Ina, Sinfully, kicked off wonderfully with us securing a few seasonal contracts with SOGO and closed a few party plan proposals.   In July 2011, I changed job after spending soooo many weeks thinking about it.   I was with SC*** for almost 7 years a...

It's our 15th Anniversary.. For so many years, we have shared heat and cold, sadness and joy, hate and love. May the LOVE never goes away, may our lives will always be full of happiness... Amin. To those who are reading this.... never forget the important dates in your lives, cherish your partner and insyaallah, happiness will always be with you.

I eventually let go of my BB after spending soooo many months thinking about it.  I thought about switching from the moment they released the white IP till the IP 4S came out a few days ago Haaaaah... how long was that??? So when I broadcasted the message to all in my bbm list... more than 50% replied... "Alaaaaaaaaa!!!!!" Hahahahhaah I guess bbm is more 'canggih' that WhatsApp ey? But I still miss my BB, so I still carry it in my handbag :) I know my kids are eyeing the device... well, I still won't let go :)  It was a gift too some years back... And thanks again mr nazura for being kind to me this year ... I like it ..... Heheheh :P

I won't be blogging for a while now... Coz I am enjoying my 2 weeks break from ... from work, office and home...  :)  It's gonna be an early anniversary celebration (2 mths early????..... what the heck, ey...)  It'll be our 15th year of marriage ( & 18th year of friendship), so we thought, why not make it a lil' different this year.... So, I will only be back in Nov... till then, have a good week ahead.... GOR.. here I come!

Sorry ... I didn't have the time to update my blog.  Ramadhan had been busy for me... baking cookies, preparing food for breaking fast... etc etc It was sad that Ramadhan was over in a blink and 3 more weeks to go before Syawal is over too.... I have done nothing.  Literally.....! Work is catching up on me and deadlines are approaching... Plus I will be on a long leave in mid October.... huhuhuuh!!!  I need extra hours plizzzz....!!!!! Anyway, I would like to wish all my friends, near and far... have a blessed Eid Mubarak!  It's a month of forgiveness and it's a good time to visit our brothers and sisters so those in Shah Alam... give us a ring :D Enjoy your Syawal!  More recipes coming up after I'm done with my papers....

hahaha.... since mid July, my life has been goin' upside down... and sometimes... sideways too.. Work is catching up and piling up on my desk... and I am so upset with myself for not updating this blog of mine.  I mean, this is where I'd turn to when I'm happy.. or down... or bored... but lately, I hardly have time for myself. Anyway, enuff whining.... 31 July was Nik's bday and it fell on weekend... means... time for a short getaway peeps! :D The night before his birthday, we met up with Kak Maz and her husband @ Naili's... just to hang out.  We planned a lil' surprise for Nik.  Kak Maz was kind enough to help me buy a cake.  And when the waiter brought our drinks out, he brought the cake too... and Nik's jaw dropped.  Hahahha.... gotcha!  He was damn surprise...  just look at the pics....   Then the next day we went to Kuantan... we decided to take the bike, since it's been quite a while.  It was a simple cele...

Any man can be a father, but it takes a special person to be a Dad... I miss him.. al-fatihah :( Me & the kids got this for Nik..... I'm sure he loves it :) On Sunday, we invited our friends for lunch.. it was a Father's Day + B'day lunch for the fathers & one of them who were celebrating his b'day... I served quite a good spread of food.  By the end of the day, I was damn tired that I felt like both my legs are coming out from the sockets!

It was Mother's Day yesterday.... and I had a wonderful celebration. How was yours? Btw, Naqeeb was saving some money since last week and last nite, he took me out (well, okay la... he asked Nik to take me out to Starbucks) and he paid for my drinks..... hehhehehe Him : Mama nak minum apa? Me : Black Tea Latte Iced with Vanilla Him (asking Nik) : How much? Nik : RM12 maybe Him (looking at me) : Okay.....(approving my order) Hahhahahha....... bottom line is - it's the thought that counts!

It is already April and I keep getting that b'day presents from my friends... Thanks Ina for the bandanas and that beautiful bracelet... My last entry was in March 08 and it’s now July ’08. I’ve been hibernating. Between March and July, a lot of things had happened and still happening, perhaps. It was my birthday in March and as usual, my wonderful friends organized birthday party without my knowledge….. and some got scolded (for calling me to see the ‘bosses’ up there) – in the course of making it happened… sorry Kak Maz! Hee hee It was a surprise ‘makan makan’ with loads of goodies and cakes. Jane was kind enough to go ‘snappy snappy’ while we were busy filling up our tummies… And thanks to those who sent me big big bouquet of flowers (the ‘ho-heg’ gang and also little girl Fara) – and made my new officemates so jealous of me…. Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mommies out there… On that very special day itself, I was quite busy baking Mother’s Day cakes for my ‘little’ customers and these customers are all 10 years old – oh yes, they are Nasreen’s classmates. My daughter kept on reminding me that I needed to get the cakes ready by certain time on that day, and that the cakes needed to be delivered to the little customers’ houses. Her friends had been keeping some money to order the cakes from me for their moms … and I thought that is very sweet. Since budget was a constraint (they made Nasreen promised that the price would not exceed certain amount and that they would cancel the order immediately if the cakes cost more than that amount….. hehehe). So demanding eh these little customers? Anyway, since it was a very special day and these little customers I considered as my special customers, I decided that I would make their cakes a little bit different than usual….. My children went ‘oohh’ and ‘aaahhh...

I must tell the world that I’m a year older on this day…… And people will start asking you, what’s the lucky number? Some will say, “Biarlah Rahsia” Some will say, “MYOB” Some will say, “It’s for me to know, for you to find out” For me, I’ll proudly say, “…… not a BIG number, & not a small one either. It’s 35 !!! Woohoooooo!!!!” In other words, it’s neither here not there lah…. (self-denial kah ini????) OK la…. one year older and nothing much to shout about. Although there are a lot of things that I feel that I haven’t accomplished in life, but I am so thankful for every single thing that has been granted to me by Him, especially for the wonderful family and all the wonderful friends that I have around me.
