Bye Mr Max... Hello Mr Ali

I'm bidding farewell to Mr Max... he is too heavy for me. Plus, I met Mr Ali while I was shopping for my cycling stuff... Here's me & Mr Ali..... (and Kae & Sha... hee hee) ... and I went 39km with him last week... Bkt Jltg - Paya Jaras - Bkt Jltg. He's as strong as a hercules and it was an extremely smooth ride all the way......

Jom Kayuh

Believe it or not, last Tuesday I made 32km on my Mr Max…. and Nik with his Mr Tarmac. We started at 7.00am, packed up and left home for the starting point, a.k.a Petronas BKJ. I usually did around 13-14km per loop but last Tuesday I was being ambitious (and slightly over confident.. hehehe) …. And it did me a good 32km loop, Bukit Jelutong – Sg Buloh exit – Bukit Jelutong on Guthrie Expressway (GCE). Of course, half of me was already dying by the time I reached Elmina RnR (Southbound). It was tiring, challenging but above all, it was fun. Halfway through the journey, it was drizzling, and I thought…. Great! I could go no where with this lil’ Mr Max going at 10km p/hr. Alhamdulillah, weather was kind to us, it stopped by the time I reached Sg Buloh exit.. Since I’m still a newbie. it took me more than 1.5 hrs to complete the loop…. ha ha ha .... of coz you can laugh at me...... but no worries, I’m going on the same route again this Sunday…. Maybe SINfully partners will join us this ti

i hate today

It's sure a shitty day today...!!!

Nasi Dagang Shah Alam style..

A lot of my friend was asking for this recipe.... so here it goes. Do take note that this is purely MY version of Nasi Dage.... it may not be as authentic as your mom's nasi dagang, so only constructive comments are welcome here... hahahhaa Rozain, this is for you :D * I don't use specific measurement, because I don't know how..... My cooking style is the 'campak-campak' style... Nasi I normally use half pack of that usual 1kg pack that my in laws always gave me. This can cater for at least 4-5 pax. Wash the rice before you soak in water overnight. First kukus - Drain the water and kukus all the rice, for about 10-15 mins. Remove from kukus pan. Then pour half pack santan (add 1/4 cup of water to the santan). Mix well and ensure the rice is thoroughly covered with santan. Yes, Santan = Coconut Milk. :D Second kukus - Kukus rice with santan for 10-15 mins. Remove from kukus pan and pour santan again (repeat first step above). Add bawang merah & ginger (

Ms Pink Panther

I love taking pics... so much so that I always make sure that I have my Canon with me almost everywhere I go. Well, if you are traveling by car, that is not a problem, however, if you are traveling by bike... or when you are cycling, that will definitely becomes a biiggg problem. I was in Penang last week and I saw a very cool digicam from Sony, and it's called Bloggie (I assumed it was created for bloggers and FB freak, like me, LOL!) With Bloggie, you can upload photos direct from the camera, just like USB, no downloading, no special disc or program required. You can also turn the lense 180 degrees.... so you can snap your own photo... kewl eh? It's quite small in size and you can easily slip it in your pocket. Anyway, I was looking hi and lo for it in KL but luck was not on my side. When I finally found Bloggie, it was not the same as what I saw in Penang. It was the latest version of Bloggie and I found it in Curve. Not as nice as what I saw in Penang.... :( I told Nik

Bundt Strikes Again....!

Yes, I was so bored so I thought.... "why not I tried this recipe that I kept for God knows how long...." Green Tea & Lemon Marble Cake I got this from a friend's collection. Not sure the source of this recipe though... Since I lurvveeeee green tea to bits, I was excited when I came across this one and I gave it a try... after waited for so long because I'm still on a bz-bee mode now. Anyway, the cake is not bad, just that the green tea taste is not that powerful (bcoz I'm a green-tea-freak!), maybe you want to add another 2 tbsp of matcha powder to the batter. Try-lah! Green and yellow batter, alternate them to make the marble effect Oh yes, that's my new bundt pan.... I know, I know, it's nice... tq! :D Matcha powder Zest of 1 lemon and lemon juice ... all went into the batter... Green Tea & Lemon Marble Cake 2 2/3 cups self raising flour, sifted 2 1/3 cups sugar (I used only 2 cups because I hate too-sweet cakes) 1 tsp vanilla essence 6

Feeling 'marble'

I ate a lot today. We went out for a farewell lunch this afternoon. Today is Intan’s last day, and since Min will also be leaving, she joined us too just now. And now I’m sleepy. That’s because I had rice! And I’m not supposed to eat rice this week, I need to shed some kilos because I’m going riding my Mr Max on GCE next weekend. I planned to take half of the highway, if my stamina permits… hehehehe I did a lil’ bit less than ¼ of the highway last weekend and trust me, my butt was the reason that slowed me down. Need to get rid some of that flesh. Anyway, I was doing my work and suddenly I have this urge…. … the urge to bake…. … like NOW. Bring me an oven and a mixer plis! I feel like Marble Cake today… is it gonna be yellow and black? Black and green? Yellow and pink? We’ll see….
