I realized this morning that I am filing every inch of my pants and blouse…. perfectly… with my flesh! (read : I am GROWING!!!... in size that is) sigh!!! I lost a few kgs during Ramadhan and I gained more than ‘a few kgs’ thereafter… I have 3 meals a day (without fail). and not forgetting the ‘munching moments’ in between. It was months since I last weigh myself on that little machine, which always gives me a heart attack every time I stepped on it. But I know the numbers are now ‘bigger’ – as in the value as opposed to the size – so I pushed the machine to the darkest corner of my storeroom. What you don’t know won’t hurt you… But what I know is…. I fill up my jeans PERFECTLY, meaning they have no rooms for my skin to breathe. Either the jeans shrink or my body yang dah inflate…. aiyyoohh. Sungguh susah hati ni. I just can’t stop from indulging myself with all the good food (read = chocolate, ice cream, Famous Amos, Starbucks… and not forgetting, my energy booster – rice!!!). Now, le

This Is It!!!

It was indeed a very long day for me today. I was already at the school compound around 10.15am. A few other parents were already there waiting. Yes, the day that we all had been waiting for…. D Day. I was seriously nervous. A text message came from Nasreen’s teacher informing me that the results would be out by 11.30am. Wow… more than an hour to go. Nasreen is having an eye infection so the doctor advised her to be quarantined at home… and there I was, waiting for the result on her behalf… and experiencing a total nervous breakdown. I was walking back and forth, my palms were cold and white like The Cullens, I had goose bumps all over… “this is worse that getting married”, I was saying to myself. Lucky to the wonderful (and gelabah) mothers like me – Sha, Riz and CT, I tried to calm down. Later Nik came from office to join me. More than 1 hour passed by….. when they called Nasreen’s name a few times, I hurriedly ran to the stage in front of the student hall, waving and s

Butang Baju Abang Mana Pah...?

I bought a white blouse from ZARA sometime ago and didn’t get the chance to wear it until today. So, last night I took it out and iron it, without realizing that it has more than 20 little buttons on it….!!!!! The blouse is easily wrinkled so no way I’m going to shove it down my body with the buttons unopened. Was pretty sure that it would looked like a used nasi lemak wrapper by the time I managed to put it on my body. Dengan degilnya….. Slowly I unbuttoned each and every one of them, with patience. Looked at my watch, it was already 7.15 am. Damn you buttons! You made me late for work! A few minutes passed by and I managed to unbuttoned all. Quickly, I put on the blouse and now I realized that those needed to be buttoned back, ok! Again…. I buttoned them, one by one – it was harder buttoning it because of my big jari-jemaris and the buttons are so small, half the size of a 5 sen coin, mind you…!!!! Haiyyyaa…. The clock was ticking and I was there in there in my room, still str

Weekend Getaway

We decided to be spontaneous last week… hence the trip to PD. I feel that the more we age, the more spontaneous we become…. yes? Mid life crisis!? (GBS, comment please!) Last weekend Nik decided to ride to Avillion Admiral Cove, PD. I was thrilled. The furthest we’ve been was only to Cyberview, besides the usual trips to Starbucks Uptown or Taipan USJ for makan makan (what else?). The trips to Uptown were usually late night trips (because we just love to lepak lepak until Starbucks tutup... boleh?), and late because we wanted to avoid the traffic. Yes, traffic there is bad even on weekends … I wonder if the people there ever sleep… Anyway, the plan was to leave in the morning so that we can have breakfast in PD … no rush and a bit relaxing… but when I woke up at 5am on that Saturday, it was drizzling. It drizzled the whole morning, so to kill the time, I decided to do some washing and cleaned the house while waiting for the rain to subside. But the thing is, it never did… and the clock

Life IS Complicated

I was driving to work and listening to the radio this morning when a topic discussed by the DJ caught my attention. The DJ was interviewing a psychologist from Sunway Medical Centre and the topic was – Why forgive and forget when you should forgive and never forget. Of course they had callers calling in (mostly women) saying that they always forgive but sometimes never forget – I raised my hand in the car to show my support…. Hahahha. And all the time we have people telling us to forget about the past so that you can start new with your journey.. etc etc.. But this psychologist said that what we should do is not to forget what we had forgiven. History repeats itself and soon, we’ll be at a junction thinking … oh, this happened to me last time, now what should I do to handle this so that I will not face the same problem… or what should I do to ensure that the problem does not happen to me again? So to him, it is important to remember the past… As for me, I used to be a hard headed perso

Business + Leisure

The ‘excursion’ to Teluk Cempedak Kuantan was great. Though we were stuck in hotel for 5 days straight, we had fun… of course, the team that was with me was also gila-gila….. Future CEO and MD... hahaha 5 meals a day… breakfast, morning tea break, lunch, evening tea break, dinner… I think I easily gained more than 2 kgs. The fat burned during Ramadhan is nothing compared to the amount of food gobbled down my throat after Ramadhan. Not to mention series of Hari Raya open houses that I attended last 2 weeks… Anyway, my family arrived in TC Kuantan on the fifth day (Friday) so the fun continued for me. Lunch at Kemaman Kopitiam (I LURVE this kopitiam!!!), Dinner @ PakSu Seafood, pool, sandy beach, shopping at EC Mall….. the pictures below will tell all…
