What's In My Bag.....??

Let's take a peek....... Early this week, Leilanie posted an entry on this one, following after SexyMomma – and the ball just keeps on rolling. I thought it’s such an interesting topic because you never know what you will discover in a woman’s bag (one of my colleague used to put rolls and rolls of panty hose in her bag – new ones and used ones!!!). I told Leilanie that I’ll post an entry on this too. So does Tg Ina and KuE . So, before I leave for the long break….. let’s check out what are the ‘must-haves’ in my bag….. From top…. - My Nokia phone (dedicated for my customers) - My lipstick casing with two lipsticks and some pins for my tudung - My Body Shop Cranberry lip balm (never leave home without it!) - My hands-free head set - My O2 PDA-phone - business card holder - thumb drive (full of crap files and photos…. Heheeh) - Body Shop nail shiner (very useful when I’m stuck in traffic jam, like eating nuts during a movie…) - pens (by default, too) - house keys, and - my pur

Rain & KL....

It was almost 9pm when we finally reached our destination last night….. which is….HOME! Yup…. Yesterday, it rained cats n dogs here in Damansara. And yesterday also, as Nik is in town this week, we shared one car, and left the other one at home because we haven’t repair the windscreen yet. Did I tell you that somebody broke the windscreen of our car and took our SmartTag away? And all these happened right in front of our house…! They really have guts eh, thieves nowadays! Under the normal circumstances, I will drop him off at the Bangsar LRT station and he will take the LRT straight down to KLCC (he shudders at the idea of driving a car to KL). However, the exit to Damansara from NKVE was so jammed up so we had to exit at Jalan Duta, and as we were already late, so he had to send me to my office and take the car with him. So, in the evening, I finished off my work early and waited for him to pick me up …..… 5.45pm – he called me to inform that he was rapping up his meeting and wo

Memoirs of a Geisha

I went to see Memoirs of a Geisha last Saturday night in Sunway Pyramid. I read the book some months ago and I was excited to watch the movie & to see all the characters mentioned in the book (It was like this too when they started showing the Bridget Jones Diary I&II last time)….. well, then again, I am so damn full of excitement lah, I guess. I get excited over everything.. EVERY SINGLE THING! Anyway, back to the movie story. Earlier, I tried to make an online reservation but failed. Then I tried to do the phone booking….. over and over and over. Result? Failed again… either no seats or the name of the movie was not mentioned for that particular cinema. Duh! The system screwed up. Don’t they have a group of IT people checking the system once in while? I gave up! Had to choose the last resort…walk in! Haiiyyaaa…. I’m sure you know what it’s like to go to Sunway after office hours. Nightmare! My tolerance level is quite low when it comes to traffic jam. But, I kn

Bake & More Collection

For the past few weeks, I’ve been receiving quite a number of inquiries (via email) about the cakes that I baked and showcased in my blog. Thanks to those who are kind enough (I'm touched!) to write in & ask about my tiny-winy business. I promised them that I will tell more about the cakes (and the prices, too, as requested) in my future entries, but… as usual, I never had the time to do it. So friends (newly made friends and also those who knew me for years and years – and can’t stop wondering why did I end up baking cakes besides my already ultra-busy life!!!???), ….. I finally spent an extra bit of time this week to furnish you with more information about the cakes and please accept my sincere apology for the delay. Do not hesitate to drop me a line or two should you need to inquire more & I’ll be more than willing to enlighten you on the matter and chase your doubts away… cehh! Now I sounded like a drama queen (which I am, sometimes…. heheh) Ladies and gentlemen…. jeng

I cook and cook and cook...

I felt like eating something nice last weekend so I decided to put some of my cooking skills to work (cehhh…. hehe). I’m not a good cook like my mom but I just love cooking (orang kata, "can do lah!"). Some of my cooking turned out fine…. Some were just, hmm… ok la, safe enough for my family to consume. So what did I have in mind last Sunday? I was thinking of maybe.. homemade nasi lemak with sambal ikan bilis…. yummylicious! But I was never good in making sambal tumis…. Sometimes too hot or too masam (extra asam jawa la tu!), or too plain….(tak kick! Like my mom’s). What about nasi ayam….. aaahh, too leceh la…. with the soup, the salad, then the cili, then the soy sauce mix, then chicken…. Only preparing for the nasi is easy, the rest are too time-consuming. After spending more than an hour thinking (my nasi ayam would be ready by then if I started cooking right away.. hehe), so I settled for the less hassle recipe. I made black pepper-ginger-chicken and fixed some salad. Bo

Crystal - Caught In Action

I was so tired that I thought of jumping straight to bed, without doing my usual nite-ritual, when I was driving back home tonight. Upon reaching home, eagerly, I hit the lock button of my car’s remote, swing my legs left and right to lose the shoes, unlock the main door ….. only to witness that my cat, Crystal, was madly running around the house, jumping from one sofa to another, having the time of her life! My jaw dropped instantly… cushions were thrown out of place, carpets all messed up and there she was, still, looking at me – shocked, like a child stops running upon seeing the mommy coming towards her with a rotan. I mean, the house was upside down, and hello!?....where had the inhabitants of the house gone to? The Headmaster is nowhere to be seen, so as the Ketua Darjah…. No wonder Crystal was having a happy-happy-joy-joy time. Quickly I pull out my DigiCam out of the drawer - sempat lagi tu! hehehe.... (always keep it handy, you never know when you'll need it)... and it w

Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Adha

My Raya Haji was quiet than usual, except for the masak masak part on the eve of raya. Nik will not be back until next week so I celebrated Raya Haji with my children, my mom, my brother & his family, all my nieces & nephew and my sister-in-laws (three of them – must thanked my husband for having a lot of sisters and made my raya enjoyable). I was still working on Monday and came back quite late. Reached home around 8pm, went upstairs, changed to my ‘cook’ uniform and all ready for the battle in the kitchen. The good thing was the ketupat were made a day earlier (on Sunday) - and yes! I do anyam ketupat okay! I was the only person who can anyam ketupat at home (not even my mom can do this & Nik's sister who is staying with us, just acquired the skills from me and believe me she was very creative in making up all sorts of ketupat shapes which had never been invented before... hehehe). So every year when we celebrate Hari Raya in Shah Alam, I’m always the important person

Happy New Year!

Phew….. it’s the fourth day of the year already!!! I hope it’s not too late to wish everyone ‘Happy New Year’!!!!!!! Actually, I was away in Bandung & Jakarta last week…. celebrating my belated anniversary with Nik and also new year. Oh! Yes, I went mad again in Bandung and spent hundreds and thousands of Rupiah (don’t panic…..it’s only a few hundreds if you convert them to RM lah) on clothes and begs. Haaa…. That’s what I call a good trip! We went back to Jakarta with a van full of shopping bags and of course, I was smiling all the way…..hehehe Some shots of Bandung from our hotel room ..... Anyway, now I’m back in KL. This week is rather hectic. Naqeeb started his first day of pre-school in CEC yesterday and Nasreen is now in Year 3 (she’s no longer a baby anymore!). Naqeeb in his new school uniform.... So there I was, alone, running around in between schools… queuing to pay for their registration fees…. buying their books…. and did some last minute ‘back-to-school’ shopping…..
