Weird Tag

I’ve been tagged by L-Lee.

Whoa…. Haven’t been tagged for so long eh… Anyway, I have to think really hard of the weirdest things about me. OK, here goes…

6 weird things about me:

One
When I sleep at night, I need something to cover the lower part of my legs, especially my toes. Sometimes I use the comforter or if I can’t find any, I’ll use pillow instead. I feel something will come & bite my toes off (or maybe sucks the blood off them like toyol! @!!$#) Noooo!!!!!!!!!!

Two
I love cats so much so whenever I cuddle them, especially my cat - Crystal, I’ll hold their heads & put their tiny nose on my cheek so many, many, many times! I like ’em as they are so tiny and cute!

Three
When I sit on a chair, I like to ‘bersila’. So that explains the reason why I seldom wear skirts or baju kurung to office. My legs get tired easily if I hang them down, so 90% of the time, I will bersila. Thanks to my all-covered-desk, nobody will be able to tell from far. Even if I sit in the car, I will still bersila. I find it VERY comfortable.

Four
I’m a food goddess. I’ll go anywhere and sometimes, literally spend my last dollars on food, as long as they are yummy. Just tell me where they are & I’ll be there. And yes, I’m known for this among my friends & family members. I’m a food lovah! Yes I am!

Five
Just like LLee, I like to READ my recipe books – pasta, potatoes, bread, pastry, cakes, children food, wedding cake – you name it. I have loads of them & when I’m done reading magazines/story books, I’ll take my recipe collection out and start flipping page by page.

Six
For the past few years, I had so many pets. Once I had:
- 2 small tortoises that I bought in New York while I was still studying. I carried them everywhere in my pocket whenever I travel on airplane during summer holidays. They both died during winter – mati keras gitu!
- 2 persian cats (father - Augie & son - Bobo) which were given away to my mom’s friend when I gave birth to Nasreen. I had Augie since I was 10 yrs old & when I gave him away, he was already 15 years. Then we stopped adopting pets until both my kids are big enough to handle the animals.
- 2 lion-head rabbits (Lazybone & Brainskull) which were given away to my friends as they both can’t stay together. Both were males but Lazybone likes to abuse the other one – he thought Brainskull was a female! Poor thing! Lazybone became aggressive & started eating wires around the house & destroyed Nik’s palm trees until they went botak… hehe
- A few arowana fishes with different colors – bought in different times. All were dead within a few months after we bought them until we bought the last arowana late last year – Mr Polka. He is still with us until now.
- 8 chipmunks. We only bought 2 at a time but semua terlepas. They are so tiny and fast but very cute and clever.
- Then we bought Crystal in year 2003 & she is still with me until now.
- Then we had so many Hermit Crabs….. they died after a few months.
- Then we had Elvy (sob! sob!)….. but we lost him recently. And guess what……. Nik bought another bird, Lesser Crusted Sulfur Cockatoo, which I named him Elvy still… but it’s a female this time. She has a white body and light yellow crest on her head.
- I’m thinking of getting a Sugar Glider…. This one is so manja…….

Hilang

It was Nik's Birthday

It was my husband’s birthday yesterday and we took the day off to ‘merewang’ while feeling young, kononnya. The theme of the celebration? Reminiscing the days when we were courting back in 1993 minus the snow.... ancient sungguh rasanya! We had our breakfast at O’Brien’s early in the morning and took a slow stroll along the shops in OU and enjoyed every minute of it (at 10am in the morning, mind you, and the shops were barely opened). Later we watched ‘Lake House’ and we were charged RM12 only for 2 tickets (the early bird tickets were so damn cheap, I almost fainted!). There were only a few couples inside and we took the opportunity to sit right at the middle (ikut suka hati), since the theater was quite empty. How was the movie? Hmm… ok la, I would say it was the right movie for the occasion… hehe. A bit slow though, biasa la, romantic piece. The ending part was quite ‘touchy’ and yes, Mr Reeves was so stunningly handsome (oh yes, nampak tua sikit la and still got the looks). ...

The Day I Decided To Write Again

I've closed this door some years ago... and I thought I'd be closing it for good.  Even my last visit here was years ago.  Today I decided to open it up again.... and maybe I should start writing again.  So many things happened in the last few years, good and bad, happy and sad... now, I guess, is just the time to share some and to keep them here as memories. Welcome back to my space.
