I AM P.H.A.T !!! I need help!!

I was enjoying my half-day leave @ Starbucks when my phone rang... Raymond, my ex-boss called me up and he went... Raymond : Are you happier now that you are leaving? Me : Yes, why? Raymond : Yes, I can see that.... Me : Are you saying I'm fat???? (marah sudahhh) Raymond : Hahahhahaha..... Me : Even if I AM FAT, at least I can ran in the marathon (masih tak nak menerima hakikat - in denial pls!) Raymond : How many km? Me :  10km Raymond : What is your time? Me : 1.5++ hrs... why? Raymond : Sally did 1hr 20mins..... Me : Well, that's becase she's lighter ok!  And she's younger (trying hard to find reasons to shoot his points) Raymond : Yeah.. maybe.... and maybe you were 'bouncing' all the way... hahahhaah Me : Pppffttttttt!!!!  Shut up and don't disturb me!   That's Raymond.  His daily KPI is to irritate me, 24-7!

SC KL Marathon 2011

So the Day finally came….   The Day that we all had been waiting for with full of excitement. I registered for the run back in Mar/Apr, if I can still remember.  So the excitement went back as far as 3 months ago.   I have never gone beyond 7km, so when the registration site was up, I registered mine and Nik’s for 5km and 10km respectively.  So every week, running for 5-6 km diligently was all I did.. until 2 days before the event..  Jeli texted me.  Oh…. btw Jeli is our neighbor & our cycling buddy. Jeli : Ada sapa2 nak bib 10km Men? Me : So far I lari 6-7km je, takut lari 7km,  lagi 3km jalan :D Jeli : Let go ur bib to beginner, lari with us.  Ada berani? Me : Kalau tak ada takers, I amik.  IC lain takpe ke? Jeli : Kalau u naik podium, maybe akan jadi issue… hahahha Me : Hahaha itu confirm tak akan terjadi… naik ambulans maybe :D So there we were on Sunday – Me, Nik, Sha, Ajees and Jeli, already at Padang Merbok as early...

The Shopaholic In Me

How can you measure my level of 'shopaholic-ness'? Let me tell you what happened this afternoon..... A few days back... during breakfast @ office WL : i bought a steam iron and it is very gooooodd.... u can iron and stand and watch tv... Me : Whoaaaaa!   Really ah?   (mulut ternganga ala ala anak burung kelaparan!) WL : Yeaahhhhh...   very fast & easy u know! You go la and see ..  (dia ni pun satu minah full of excitement jugak... saja la kan nak bakar semangat akak)   A few days after that ... (that is TODAY) It was lunchtime.  I went to OU New Wing with Kak Maz & got that iron... huhuhu!!!! Harga?  RM429. Berat?  Berkilo kilo hokay... terjengket jengket bawak balik to office all the way from New Wing to 1 First Avenue.

I was in my cooking mode last nite... again.... (ok.. ok.... when did I ever NOT in my cooking mode?  muahahahha.... ) I had loads of bananas from last weekend's lunch do and a few tins of IDEAL milk at home. So I made 'Pengat Pisang' and a tray of Milk Pudding a.k.a. Puding Susu.  Let's see how I put this together: Puding Susu Beat 2 eggs till think and fluffy Set aside (I used elect beater - no energy lahh) Boil 450ml of water with: - 4-5 tbsp castor sugar (this depends on how sweet you want your pudding to be.  I put 5tbsp) - 10gm dried agar agar Boil till all the 'agar agar' dissolve. Then add the following ingredients: - 150ml IDEAL milk - 2-3 tbsp butter or margarine (I used butter) - 1-2 tsp vanilla Boil again and make sure the ingredients are all mixed together.  Remove from heat and let the mixture cool down (for about 5-10 mins) Add in the beaten egg to the mixture and beat again for 1 min. Divide into 2 and color according to your li...

Happy Father's Day

Any man can be a father, but it takes a special person to be a Dad... I miss him.. al-fatihah :( Me & the kids got this for Nik..... I'm sure he loves it :) On Sunday, we invited our friends for lunch.. it was a Father's Day + B'day lunch for the fathers & one of them who were celebrating his b'day... I served quite a good spread of food.  By the end of the day, I was damn tired that I felt like both my legs are coming out from the sockets!

Whisk @ Empire

So what is the best way to spend your Saturday? Enjoying coffee like the Americans do with a plate of French macaroons.... seating by the sidewalk cafe for hours, just the two if us, sipping our drinks slowly, looking at passersby, exchanging no words whatsoever.... yeah..... when silence between two people is comfortable... priceless. Ops... sorry.  I got carried away :) Actually, I wanted to tell you about Whisk Cafe @ Empire Gallery.  I love Whisk for its wonderful macaroons (of course, nothing beats the real French Macaroons) and its hot Hazelnut Latte (less sugar please).  The combination is sinfully marvelous.  They said its Red Velvet cake is nice too, but I haven't tried it yet (maybe because I baked it all the time, so it reduces my desire to try it elsewhere).  But their macs, yeap... so far that's the best macs in Klang Valley (plus I am no expert in making macs! huhuhuhu) So peeps, drop by Empire and head on to Whisk.... you'll come back for...

Macs Made My Day

Ever since I made that decision, I have very little time to myself.  While I should be rejoicing the decision I made and embracing the days to come, I was busy 'consoling' others instead.... sigh!  BIG sigh! I can hardly blog.... when I have so many things to blog about. Anyway, sad stories aside, one of my ex-bosses was in France last week and he was VERRYYY kind enough to buy me some macs.... all the way from France! Thanks Raymond, though sometimes you can be just like the father I never had.... with all the blabbering.. nagging... but deep down I know you have a good heart :) oh, btw ... I only said that because you got me this wonderful box of macs.... LOL! But seriously, these macs are just yummy!!!!!  Beats me how they did it.... Macaroons are my fav, besides tiramisu and moist choc cake... and cheesecake... and green tea cake.. (i guess i love them all!). By the way, I tried making some macs last week and let me tell you, it was such a disaster...

The Day To Remember

It was the most difficult decision ever, but I made that decision somehow. Minutes after that, I was the busiest employee in the organization. Suddenly, I became the best employee...... !!??? I mean..... for almost 7 years I'm here, now only you are telling me these?  I don't know.... I just want to move on guys.  Just give your blessings.  That's all I'm asking for, nothing else.
