Me & My Babies.....

My KPI for this quarter – update my blog EVERY week! So , for this week – here’s my update: Introducing our new family member, Spidey (Naqeeb loves Spiderman so much) & Fifi. Spidey is owned by Naqeeb and Fifi belongs to Nasreen (yes, we can tell from their choices of names eh). After so much hesitation, we finally bought the hamsters for the children. I could tell even from looking at their faces, they were really, truly happy to receive the RM40 hamsters. I feel that there’s just so many inexpensive ways to please our children, but somehow, we - the parents - choose to shower them with hi-tech toys, expensive Barbie sets, up-to-date Lego boxes…… and in the end, everything will be dumped into the big toy bin which gets cleaned only 2-3 times in a year! (or was it a once-a-year event?? I must check my cleaning schedule.) Oh, there’s another member to introduce…… meet my new grey, C-kay. Although we bought Elvy (shown below) to replace our Elvy who escaped last month, we feel that i...

Happy Birthday to Me!!!

I must tell the world that I’m a year older on this day…… And people will start asking you, what’s the lucky number? Some will say, “Biarlah Rahsia” Some will say, “MYOB” Some will say, “It’s for me to know, for you to find out” For me, I’ll proudly say, “…… not a BIG number, & not a small one either. It’s 35 !!! Woohoooooo!!!!” In other words, it’s neither here not there lah…. (self-denial kah ini????) OK la…. one year older and nothing much to shout about. Although there are a lot of things that I feel that I haven’t accomplished in life, but I am so thankful for every single thing that has been granted to me by Him, especially for the wonderful family and all the wonderful friends that I have around me. A lot of things are coming my way this year and I hope things will turn out fine, insya allah. And what do I enjoy most about my birthday???? Yes….. the food and the gift from the father of my children…. Hehehe. But since we celebrated my birthday in the land of Down Under…. We h...

Weird Tag

I’ve been tagged by L-Lee . Whoa…. Haven’t been tagged for so long eh… Anyway, I have to think really hard of the weirdest things about me. OK, here goes… 6 weird things about me: One When I sleep at night, I need something to cover the lower part of my legs, especially my toes. Sometimes I use the comforter or if I can’t find any, I’ll use pillow instead. I feel something will come & bite my toes off (or maybe sucks the blood off them like toyol! @!!$#) Noooo!!!!!!!!!! Two I love cats so much so whenever I cuddle them, especially my cat - Crystal, I’ll hold their heads & put their tiny nose on my cheek so many, many, many times! I like ’em as they are so tiny and cute! Three When I sit on a chair, I like to ‘bersila’. So that explains the reason why I seldom wear skirts or baju kurung to office. My legs get tired easily if I hang them down, so 90% of the time, I will bersila. Thanks to my all-covered-desk, nobody will be able to tell from far. Even if I sit in the car...

This One Is For Elvy!

Last weekend was a very depressing weekend for the whole family. My husband likes animals & he loves birds especially. He kept on telling me that he wanted to own birds for so long but I never encouraged him, due to my lack of interest in birds. I felt that birds are totally different from cats. You can hold & hug cats but how can you do that to birds? Anyway, early this year, I thought, well maybe I should give it a try – after seeing how adorable my uncle’s birds can be during our visit to Singapore. So we had an exotic bird – an African Grey . Nik took care of him since he was 3 weeks old…. And the bird was so small, weak, featherless & all. I named him Elvy. I seldom touched him because he looked so fragile but I began to love him as he grew. As days went by, he grew at an alarming rate and in 3 months, he turned out to be a very beautiful and smart bird. I became attached to him in less than a month. Last Saturday, unexpectedly he flew out from his cage & ...

After My Long Silence....

Year 2007 will be a VERY busy year for me. 3 months into 2007 and I have only 4 entries in my blog. If these entries were to be graded, I’m pretty sure I’ll get an F on Blogging Course. A lot (I really mean A LOT!) of activities have been lined up to be implemented plus the fact that I was forced to take up a-free-no-obligation-MBA-offer by my company. I wonder if my brain cells still work …. perhaps they are now clogged with fat! I left school years and years ago and to be exact, it was almost 12 years ago. Of course along the way, I did attend other classes but all I learned was how to make your cakes look good…… and nothing to do with Accounting, Business, Management, bla, bla, bla….. Well, they told me my class will start in March 07 (not a good month!) and the first 2 courses will be on Finance and Accounting. Yes, what a way to break the ice around my brain ….. I need my Caramel Macchiato now to warm me up! And oh…. Plus the fact that I’ll be missing my first few classes a...

Let's Get That New Book!!!

Hurry up! Let's run to MPH to get one of these!!!!!!

Outdated entry number 199

My visit to Shanghai late last year was great. I was swarmed with work that I just couldn’t find the time to update my blog. Most of the things that I planned to write had been erased from my memory (now that it’s a whole new year, I just wanna make sure that my brain is not clogged with old stuff). Anyway, it was fun and the scenery was beautiful. We went to 3 cities, Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou. I discovered that they still maintain their old way of living, i.e. riding old bicycles in town, wearing big straw hats with frill skirts and blousse…. I felt like I’m going back in time… back to hundreds of years ago… and they still travel via their famous canals…. It was an interesting trip. The pictures will tell all….. Shanghai downtown at night. Canals in Suzhou and Shanghai (Yuyuen Garden, if I'm not mistaken ) Suzhou (left) and Shanghai the New World (right) from across the river Me @ Starbu cks Shopping in Shanghai will drive you nuts! It's...

New Year Resolutions!?

As always, I know it’s too late for the wish but I want to do it anyway. To all fellow bloggers & friends, near or far, Happy New Year & let’s embrace 2007 as it comes with the hope that we will have a great year ahead. Wah, time flies so fast. I was drowning with work and I felt that 2006 came and went with a splash. New year resolution??? Haa…. I have only 2 at the moment (I change resolution every month and by end of the year, I’ll be lost & not knowing which one that I must fulfill). Anyway, my resolution for Jan 2007 was to cut down on my spending (or shopping, rather!). Debt-free, 0-balance credit cards (well, at least 50% reduction, if not 100%) & to chunk in at least 15% of my salary into my Tabung Haji account (monthly without fail)… Only with 1 problem, with the Visit Malaysia Year, I’m sure there’ll be loads of sale going on, how can I be blamed for excessive spending???? BUT….. (notice the capital letters), it’s not even month end yet & I noticed I ...

Happy Birthday Naqeeb & Merry Christmas !!!

Dear fellow bloggers I still can't view the 'comments' box, everytime I click on the icon, it says "server is not available". Could it be my laptop? It was checked & scanned but nothing was wrong.... I'm going nuts over this already! Maybe I cannot access it via IE???? Anyway, last Sunday was Naqeeb's 6th Birthday.....Happy Birthday Athib! I feel like it was just yesterday.... he was still crawling, crying, running & falling..... it has been 6 years, time does fly fast. But, unfortunately, Naqeeb was not here in KL with me. He went back to Singapore with Nasreen & my mom for the long holiday.... :( The weekend was very quiet, only me & Nik at home. We will be going back only on Friday evening & I bet the North South Expressway will be packed with cars heading to their kampung for Hari Raya Haji. Must be prepared to crawl eh.... Anyway, am so looking forward to tomorrow.... it'll be our 10th Anniversary..... weeehoooo!!!! Til...

I HATE YOU, BB!!!!

I have been having problems logging in to Blogger Beta for days!!!!!!! I missed my blog, do you know that Blogger????? First, I was not able to upload photos!! Then, I accidently switched my blog to the so-called new Blogger Beta (which sounded so hi-tech to me when I read the review) .... yes, me being the 'buta-IT' person! Then, I can't seem to log in as the site is constantly having some technical problems!!!! In fact, I haven't been able to log in since the day I switched to this doomed version! Damn u again Blogger Beta!..... And today, I asked Ina to log in for me from her computer, then when I opened mine... suddenly I'm in already..... Oh! This drives me crazy, I tell u!!!! And I can't read the comments posted on my entries..... why me???

It was Nasreen's 9th Birthday (1 Dec 06)

It was Nasreen’s 9th Birthday last Friday (1st December 2006), but both, Nasreen & Naqeeb had diarrhea since Thursday. I was on leave on Friday & I panned to take them out for a small celebration but Naqeeb could hardly walk & he was badly dehydrated as he kept on vomiting. I left him with my mom and since Nasreen’s condition was not that bad, I took her to Toys R Us to do some ‘birthday shopping’. We bought presents for Naqeeb as well although his birthday is on the 24th Dec 06. No cakes & no ice creams for the birthday girl as she was not allowed to take dairy products until she recovers fully …. L I promised them since last week that I will take them to a movie…. so off we went to Cathay Cineplex to watch Happy Feet on Friday night. On our way up to the theater, I saw a couple going down on the escalator next to ours….and I thought, ‘oh she looks very familiar’……. And yes, she is…. I bumped into Naddy….. the funny part was, I was going up and she was going down and w...

Ramadhan & Syawal

This entry was typed on Nov 7th '06 and posted only today Nov 20th '06..... and I've been having problems to upload pictures to my entry....... :P _______________________________________________________ Hello readers..... another outdated entry.... so outdated comments are most welcomed! Anyway, Ramadhan has passed and Syawal will also come to an end in a few weeks time. I think it’s not too late to wish everyone Selamat Hari Raya!!!! How was my Ramadhan and Syawal? Good, I must say. I had a great Ramadhan month. This year we saved a lot on food as we always berbuka inside our car.. hee hee. As usual, I left office around 7pm even tough my Company was kind enough to let the staff go at 4.30pm (but that didn’t mean anything to me considering that I always had meetings organized for me at 5pm). Towards the end of Ramadhan, the Company organized a competition – ‘Best Dressed Department’ in conjunction with the Hari Raya – Deepavali celebration. My staff were all geared up for...

This Entry Is So Very Outdated!!!

I wrote this during the 1st week of puasa month & now it's already the 1st week of raya month.... It's so outdated but since I spent minutes typing it a few weeks back, I will just finish it & post it anyway... heheh so while reading this, just imagine that Ramadhan baru je bermula. More 'outdated' entries to come, so watch out... (pathetic eh?) ____________________________________________________________ Subsequent to my 1st appointment, I’m scheduled for another visit to the place that I hate most! They wanted me to do MRI scan….. (just thinking about it makes my heart stops). What will they do to me this time? Oh, is it too late to wish everyone Selamat Berpuasa? I hope not! Well, Selamat Berpuasa to all my friends, readers, silent readers (macam ada pun!) & fellow bloggers. Semoga mendapat cahaya & hidayah hendaknya di bulan yang mulia ini…. Soon I’ll be busy baking cookies, woo hoo!!!!! Can’t wait! Then, we’ll be busy preparing for Hari Raya….. Ange...

I need T.I.M.E

I’ve wanted to write and update my blog for a long long time, but time has never been very kind to me. I always feel like a day consists of less than 24 hours and the official working hours everyday is only 4 hours. Sigh! Anyway, my last get-together with the wonderful-superb-unbelievable- Angels happened like 3 weeks ago and I took ages to blog about it….. finally, I decided not to elaborate so much about the meeting as the rest had already wrote about it & it’s too late for me to say anything now (it’s no longer hot from the oven lah). But I won’t disappoint you…. Check out the different versions of the tales by: Leilanie Kimi Dee Ina It was my first encounter with Kimi and Dee and trust me, they made you feel “at home”…. Hehehe. We talked and laughed like we’ve been friends for so long. They are truly fantastic supermoms (yes, that includes you guys, too, Leilanie & Ina!) And when moms get together, “maid” issues are da-main-topic. Talking about maid, so far I’ve managed to...

Best Employee Award

I was in Bandar Kinrara yesterday morning & I stopped by a newspaper stand to buy, of course, newspapers. There were two stalls along the road, one is manned by a Malay man (probably around his 20’s) and another one is manned by an old Indian man in his 60’s. I didn’t know which one to choose (suddenly it became the hardest decision that I had to make), but thinking that the old man still has to work despite his age to look for ‘rezeki halal’, I finally stopped at his stall. He approached my car & I told him I needed two papers. He went back to his stall & got me the papers. When he came back, one hand was holding the papers & another one was holding something. He handed me the papers & I gave him RM4 in return…. then immediately he handed me my change…. Oh! He had coins in his other hand, which really impressed me.. talking about efficient customer service here. I smiled and took my change, to which he said…. “Thank you… selamat jalan!” .... and waved at me. I mean...

Enough is enough!!

Okay…..what is this?? No other news in the whole wide world for the Press to write about kah? I think enough humiliation one can handle…. with all the ruffled-Cinderella-like-wedding-gown one had been dreaming to wear…. to singing at one’s own wedding (twice, mind you) …. and now… marks on one’s neck after the so-called first night (of course, not applicable to the bridegroom)! Hello!!!! Can we read something else please, now that everything is over??? Oh! There’s more issit ? Yeah, yeah, the honeymoon (which is still a big RAHSIA… like we are dying to know!!) and also ‘da-event' nine months down the road….. if it happens…. (and oh! no direct telecast please....!!!!) My oh my, we do have a long way to go, I must tell you…. Sick eh!

I'll be away...

Friends, I’m leaving tonite. Where? Oh, I’m going here . Wooho!!!!!! That explains why I was so busy for the last few weeks, trying to push everything out of my desk & let the papers land on somebody else’s. Hehehe. Anyway, yes, I’ll be leaving tonight, for a 5-day-all-paid-trip-for-two with Nik and the rest of my office mates. I think there are 10-15 of us (didn’t exactly count the heads) & my company (thank you Mr Boss) is so kind enough to send us for holiday for the time and effort that we have put in for the last one year – kunun nya and also for my lost blogging time, ok!… and they also allow you to bring you spouse nih…. Woo hoo again!!!! ok ok..... nothing much pun, shanghai je kan (jangan la excited sangat cik NAH oi) .... but the word FREE tu yang excites me more! hehehe... free flight, free hotel, free food, free tour..... (exclude shopping la). My eyes almost popped out when I received the recognition letter last month. I slapped and slapped my face & yes, I w...
