After My Long Silence....

Year 2007 will be a VERY busy year for me. 3 months into 2007 and I have only 4 entries in my blog. If these entries were to be graded, I’m pretty sure I’ll get an F on Blogging Course.

A lot (I really mean A LOT!) of activities have been lined up to be implemented plus the fact that I was forced to take up a-free-no-obligation-MBA-offer by my company. I wonder if my brain cells still work …. perhaps they are now clogged with fat! I left school years and years ago and to be exact, it was almost 12 years ago. Of course along the way, I did attend other classes but all I learned was how to make your cakes look good…… and nothing to do with Accounting, Business, Management, bla, bla, bla….. Well, they told me my class will start in March 07 (not a good month!) and the first 2 courses will be on Finance and Accounting. Yes, what a way to break the ice around my brain ….. I need my Caramel Macchiato now to warm me up! And oh…. Plus the fact that I’ll be missing my first few classes as I’m going on a long leave next week……. Oh this is not good…. Really not good!

Anyway, putting work aside, let me tell you that Naqeeb is now in Year 1. I’ll post his photos at school in my next entry. This means, not just my responsibility at work is getting heavier, my job as a Home-Headmistress is also expanding. I have 2 students to monitor at home and it’s not an easy task. The price that I’m paying is sacrificing my hobby and minute-business – my Bake n’ More. I’ve stopped attending cake classes and I only take orders during weekend. But it’s okay….. I’ll pursue my dream when things have cooled down.

Till then, have a good day & enjoy the coming weekend!

Zura,
MBA will be a breeze.
Believe me.

The fact that you've worked for more than 10 years, that'll give you a head start.

You'll pass with flying colours.

All the best and good luck, dear.

P/S:
Opportunities knock once....
Free MBA all expenses paid for.

A Walk to Remember!?

Finally, I’m writing…. The trip to Singapore was fun…. And also, full of crazy moments.. heheh… Clockwise : The Q @ immigration, street performers @ Orchard, moi infront of Far East Plaza, Nik chilling out @ Starbucks Suntec CT & my precious new sandal... I like!! We left KL after Subuh & managed to reach Johor around 10am. The trip was a short one so we decided to leave the kids behind. It was a smooth ride on a cool & very breezy morning with just enough sun all the way (yes, made me sleepy also!). I took some cool pictures along the way and later discovered that I accidently deleted all of the scenery pics from my camera.... *sigh* Sometimes I can be more than the word 'clumsy' could describe... Anyway, we wanted to enter Singapore via TUAS, then I remembered that we didn’t even have a single cent of S$, so we drove down to JB town and looked for money changer. Then I thought…. no harm of taking the Causeway since it was a Sunday and I was so damn sure that traf...

To Be or Not To Be

Deadlines were over…. Yesterday was my last day here…. And today marks a whole new beginning of my career life here….. I could be wrong or I could be right for making this decision… but I’ve made up my mind to take up the challenges, nonetheless. I know I’m subjecting myself to a lot of hardwork as well as criticism, scrutiny and observation from the rest……. and time definitely has to be compromised. But being a risk taker…. I am, I know I just have to pull myself together and face the obstacles - one at a time. It’s too late to undo things anyway and the best thing to do is to be positive. Both legs are in and it’s time to march towards the horizon with pride and dignity. Only time can answer the doubts that I have in me now… meanwhile, I need all the luck that I can have.

It was Nik's Birthday

It was my husband’s birthday yesterday and we took the day off to ‘merewang’ while feeling young, kononnya. The theme of the celebration? Reminiscing the days when we were courting back in 1993 minus the snow.... ancient sungguh rasanya! We had our breakfast at O’Brien’s early in the morning and took a slow stroll along the shops in OU and enjoyed every minute of it (at 10am in the morning, mind you, and the shops were barely opened). Later we watched ‘Lake House’ and we were charged RM12 only for 2 tickets (the early bird tickets were so damn cheap, I almost fainted!). There were only a few couples inside and we took the opportunity to sit right at the middle (ikut suka hati), since the theater was quite empty. How was the movie? Hmm… ok la, I would say it was the right movie for the occasion… hehe. A bit slow though, biasa la, romantic piece. The ending part was quite ‘touchy’ and yes, Mr Reeves was so stunningly handsome (oh yes, nampak tua sikit la and still got the looks). ...
