October Tragedy

october has not been nice to me.

my loves, elvee and c-kay left me ... for good.  RIP my luvlees....

remembering how it happened made me fall apart all over again.

8th Oct - we found elvee dead in his cage, 'brutally murdered' ... by human, well, that's what we chose to believe, looking at the crime scene.  we reported the case to the guard, but there was no sign of break ins.

c-kay was left in his cage, alive but badly injured.  he survived 4 days, and eventually left us on 12th oct, just a few hours after i came home from office :'(  i guessed he waited for all of us to be back.  we carried him to the vet because he looked very weak but died on our way there, right in Nik's arms.  of course i cried and for a moment, i felt lost.  we burried him the same night right at the corner of my garden so i can see him everyday.  in fact, that's what i've been doing ever since.  not a single day passed by without flowers on his grave. we sure miss u a lot, c-kay!  i miss u most!  he was always in his talking mood whenever i let him out from his cage ... no more 'kiss kiss' no more 'good boy!' no more 'kiss mama', no more 'come c-kay!'.... a lot of no mores.... felt so empty.

a week has passed and i'm still disturbed over that incident.....

It was Nik's Birthday

It was my husband’s birthday yesterday and we took the day off to ‘merewang’ while feeling young, kononnya. The theme of the celebration? Reminiscing the days when we were courting back in 1993 minus the snow.... ancient sungguh rasanya! We had our breakfast at O’Brien’s early in the morning and took a slow stroll along the shops in OU and enjoyed every minute of it (at 10am in the morning, mind you, and the shops were barely opened). Later we watched ‘Lake House’ and we were charged RM12 only for 2 tickets (the early bird tickets were so damn cheap, I almost fainted!). There were only a few couples inside and we took the opportunity to sit right at the middle (ikut suka hati), since the theater was quite empty. How was the movie? Hmm… ok la, I would say it was the right movie for the occasion… hehe. A bit slow though, biasa la, romantic piece. The ending part was quite ‘touchy’ and yes, Mr Reeves was so stunningly handsome (oh yes, nampak tua sikit la and still got the looks).

To Be or Not To Be

Deadlines were over…. Yesterday was my last day here…. And today marks a whole new beginning of my career life here….. I could be wrong or I could be right for making this decision… but I’ve made up my mind to take up the challenges, nonetheless. I know I’m subjecting myself to a lot of hardwork as well as criticism, scrutiny and observation from the rest……. and time definitely has to be compromised. But being a risk taker…. I am, I know I just have to pull myself together and face the obstacles - one at a time. It’s too late to undo things anyway and the best thing to do is to be positive. Both legs are in and it’s time to march towards the horizon with pride and dignity. Only time can answer the doubts that I have in me now… meanwhile, I need all the luck that I can have.

I am busy, I'm confused!

I have been very quiet this week.. no updates, no hopping around leaving any trail of my existence, probably due to the following reasons: 1. Nasreen will be having her exam next week, so I’m busy reviewing her syllabus (and also nagging to make sure she prepares herself). Yes, instead of her reviewing her books, the responsibility – by default – is shifted to me…. Hmm, mothers nowadays. We feel the pressure more than our kids (and we panic even more while waiting for the results to come out). Hehehe. I can’t remember my mother even touched my textbooks when I was in Primary 3. No wonder we grow old faster these days…. 2. I’m having mood swings this week. One day, I feel elated, then mellow on the next day, moody on the following day. Work is adding on my desk, scope is being expanded, news is floating around and remarks are beings smacked everywhere (manage to steer clear of some and the rest sometimes just landed right on my very lap). Don’t you hate it when you are so positive that
