Memoirs of a Geisha

I went to see Memoirs of a Geisha last Saturday night in Sunway Pyramid. I read the book some months ago and I was excited to watch the movie & to see all the characters mentioned in the book (It was like this too when they started showing the Bridget Jones Diary I&II last time)….. well, then again, I am so damn full of excitement lah, I guess. I get excited over everything.. EVERY SINGLE THING!

Anyway, back to the movie story. Earlier, I tried to make an online reservation but failed. Then I tried to do the phone booking….. over and over and over.

Result? Failed again… either no seats or the name of the movie was not mentioned for that particular cinema. Duh! The system screwed up. Don’t they have a group of IT people checking the system once in while? I gave up! Had to choose the last resort…walk in! Haiiyyaaa…. I’m sure you know what it’s like to go to Sunway after office hours. Nightmare! My tolerance level is quite low when it comes to traffic jam. But, I knew I must get the tickets on Friday because I wouldn’t want to take the risk of going there on Saturday morning to discover that all tickets are sold out. So, after the yoga class on Friday evening, I was in my car when my SIL called me & told me that she was in Sunway Pyramid buying movie tickets for herself.

I was smiling from left ear to right ear when I heard this…. hehe… So I was lucky that day, she got me two tickets for the movie on Saturday and yesss…..I drove straight home to my kids and dinner, happily. Save the ‘nerve wrecking-words cursing-tense building’ moments for later….

The show was on Saturday night and it started at 11.45pm and finished almost around 2.30am. I think it was a good movie. Worth watching….. so ladies, if you haven’t seen this movie, do make plans for it this coming weekend. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

* Note : my SIL said she went with her teenage daughter and her daughter said it was boring. SIL added that probably the movie appeals more to middle-aged women (like me lah and you maybe!!????)… hmmm…. tell me what you think.

A Walk to Remember!?

Finally, I’m writing…. The trip to Singapore was fun…. And also, full of crazy moments.. heheh… Clockwise : The Q @ immigration, street performers @ Orchard, moi infront of Far East Plaza, Nik chilling out @ Starbucks Suntec CT & my precious new sandal... I like!! We left KL after Subuh & managed to reach Johor around 10am. The trip was a short one so we decided to leave the kids behind. It was a smooth ride on a cool & very breezy morning with just enough sun all the way (yes, made me sleepy also!). I took some cool pictures along the way and later discovered that I accidently deleted all of the scenery pics from my camera.... *sigh* Sometimes I can be more than the word 'clumsy' could describe... Anyway, we wanted to enter Singapore via TUAS, then I remembered that we didn’t even have a single cent of S$, so we drove down to JB town and looked for money changer. Then I thought…. no harm of taking the Causeway since it was a Sunday and I was so damn sure that traf...

Antara Anyir & Jakarta

I’ve been making regular monthly trips to KLIA since my husband was posted to Jakarta last year. And yesterday….. again, I made my ‘latest trip’ there to send him off (after the recent trip that I had on 3/3/06 when I picked him up from KLIA to spend his 10 solid-days holiday with me and the kids here in KL). Time sure flew fast when you wished for the earth to stop and let you enjoy your 10 days just a little bit longer. Nevertheless, the ‘most awaited 10-days’ was over…..Nik is now back in Jakarta and I’m now back in my office, sitting in my chair, swiveling around every 10 minutes, gazing lazily at the workload dumped on my desk and trying very hard to find every energy stored in my body just to touch those piles of paper…. argh! But the 10-days period was spent joyfully. We took the weekend off last week for a quickie getaway at Cyberview Lodge Resort & Spa…. and oh boy! the resort is spectacular and the view is breathtakingly-beautiful. Of course, the children were the happies...
